Youth Safety Saturday

On September 6th of 2025, South Austin Neighborhood Association hosted a Safety Saturday event for the youth and their families. Much needed resources such as fire extinguishers, first aid kits, bike helmets, and more were given out to help keep members of the community safe. Fun events included face painting and a bouncy house for children! 

SANA would like to extend a thank you to a few people and organizations starting with Ms. Dollie Sherman from Kidz Cozy Corner Daycare for not only coming to our event, but distributing flyers at her daycare to encourage attendance. Ms. Jones from Chicago Community Trust also did us the honor of stopping by. Finally, we would like to thank our volunteers for helping set up this event and the community members who came to engage with our Safety Saturday event!
