SANA "Game Days" in the Garden a Success!

For four days in August, the 29th Ward Veteran's Peace Garden transformed into an all ages game room! Community youth were invited into the garden to play a variety of board games for valuable prizes. Game participants also enjoyed delicious snacks, all provided by SANA thanks to a grant from the Chicago Fund for Safe & Peaceful Communities. The grants were meant to help community organizations fill the gap between Chicago Park District activities and the start of school. Members of the Austin Veterans Community Organization (AVCO) helped teach youth participants chess, and all ages enjoyed a fun afternoon together!
